Some of Our Recent Work

President’s Conference Room
Eisenhower Executive Office Building
White House Complex, Washington, DC
Presented with the technical challenge of creating a period accurate floor in solid wood which was to be nailed to two foot square access panels elevated above the original floor, we developed a multi-parquet design with removable panels in the three large center sections of the room.
This 1600 square foot conference room is used frequently by the President for meetings, press conferences, awards and ceremonies.
A finish of penetrating oil with hardeners gives the floor a waxed finish look with easy maintenance.

Private Library Commissions Old World Globe Inlays

Floor design example
Featured in Architectural Digest and The Catalogue of Antiques and Fine Art, this installation of the two hemispheres of an old world globe was done in a 20,000 square foot private library in Dallas. We used nine different woods to represent the continents, islands and oceans.
